Meditation: Making the Most of This Life
Welcome to This meditation series
Even though this series is about “making the most of this life,” this series is not about pushing yourself harder, wondering how to accomplish more, and expecting yourself to have to do better.
This series is about learning to go through life with more ease and flow. It is about how, perhaps ironically, when we take more time to slow down and relax, we move through our life with more clarity and sense of ease.
I know the pressures we put on ourselves. I know the pressures that we feel from others. I know the pressure that we feel all around, even when it is not directed toward us.
I was thinking about that just this week when the song “Under Pressure” came on the radio, attributed to David Bowie and Queen, released in 1981. And then I thought of how that reminded me of the song from the animated movie Encanto, by Lin Manuel-Miranda, also about pressure.
We all know the feeling.
One way to deal with pressure is to unhook from that energy, and tap into the river of energy within.
No matter how you feel right now — stuck, sad, confused, joyful, relieved, or hopeful — these meditations are for you. Meditation is first and foremost about meeting you exactly where you are without needing you to be any different.
